Overview

These Terms & Conditions apply to any Chipmunks Playland & Café location that offers the Drop-Off Service. Not all franchises provide this service. To check availability, please visit each store’s individual site to see if the service is listed on their website, or contact the store directly.

While all stores offering the Drop-Off Service follow similar guidelines, some terms may vary due to differences in building layout, venue capacity, and other franchise-specific needs. For capacity limits and availability, please contact the store directly.

By booking or using this service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms.

Service Overview

  • The Chipmunks Drop-Off Service allows parents or caregivers to leave their children in the supervised care of trained Chipmunks staff for a short period of playtime.
    Children will enjoy safe, monitored play within the Chipmunks Playland facility for a booked duration of 1–2 hours.
  • This service is designed to provide supervised play, not childcare, education, or one-on-one support.
  • Staff are responsible for general supervision and wellbeing but do not replace parental or guardian care. This service is designed for children aged 5–11 years who are confident and able to play independently, with Chipmunks staff supervising from a distance rather than providing one-on-one care.

Eligibility and Age Requirements

  • The service is only available for children aged 5–11 years.
  • Child must be toilet trained without assistance.
  • Children must be fit, healthy, and able to play independently without one-on-one assistance.
  • The service is not suitable for children:
    • Under the age of 5.
    • Requiring medical assistance, mobility support, or specialised behavioural supervision.
    • With serious allergies or conditions that require constant monitoring or medication.

Chipmunks staff reserve the right to refuse participation if a child does not meet the above criteria of the conditions of entry for safety reasons.

Supervision and Staff Requirements

  • Children are supervised by trained staff members holding a current First Aid Certificate.
  • Each session has a designated Drop-Off Supervisor responsible for monitoring all participating children.
  • Supervisors are in manager or senior team positions – not casual or part-time staff.
  • Supervisors are supported by additional team members who assist with regular 15- and 30-minute check-ins.

Check-In and Forms

Parents or caregivers must:

  • Arrive promptly at the booked start time to complete the check-in process.
  • Complete and sign the Drop-Off Form, which includes these Terms and Conditions. The adult dropping off will need to provide personal details, including but not limited to:
    • Child’s name, age, and emergency contact details
    • Duration of stay
    • Medical information or allergies
    • Food preferences or restrictions
  • Provide a valid contact number and remain reachable during the session.

No child may be left without a fully completed and signed Drop-off Registration form.

Identification and Safety Procedures

  • Each child will be provided with a Chipmunks Bib for easy identification. This is to be worn at all times.
  • Children will have a reserved table serving as their base for rest, colouring activities, water, and food.
  • Staff will maintain visibility of Drop-Off children at all times.
  • Parents must ensure children are wearing socks while playing (available for purchase in-store).
  • Children are required to follow the Chipmunks Playground Rules and Conditions of Entry at all times.

Food and Drinks

  • No outside food or drinks may be brought into the venue, with the exception of a bottle of water.
  • Parents can pre-order a Munch Meal or purchase other food and drinks before leaving their child/ren.
  • Water is provided – either through a jug and cup or the child’s own water bottle.
  • Chipmunks can accommodate reasonable food restrictions or requests (for example, avoiding sugary drinks).
  • Chipmunks Playland & Café is not responsible for providing food if none has been ordered.

Session Duration and Collection

  • Sessions are available in 1-, or, 2-hour timeframes.
  • Parents must return promptly at the booked collection time.
  • A reminder text will be sent approximately 15 minutes before the scheduled pickup.
  • Upon collection:
    • The collecting adult must match the authorised name on the Drop-Off Registration Form.
    • If another adult will collect the child, the parent must provide written consent in advance.
    • Parents must sign and complete a Drop-off Exit Form confirming collection.
    • All adults will be asked to provide photo ID verification when collecting the child.

Late Collection Policy

If a parent or caregiver does not return on time:

  • 15 minutes late: Staff will attempt to contact the parent or caregiver.
  • 20–30 minutes late: Staff will attempt a second contact and call the emergency contact listed.
  • 30 minutes late: If no contact has been made, staff will contact local police (non-emergency line) for guidance.
  • Penalty for late collection: Each franchise has the right to charge an additional hour if the child is collected late.

During this time, the child will remain under direct supervision and be kept safe, calm, and reassured.
Repeated late pickups may result in refusal of future bookings.

Refunds and Cancellations

  • All Drop-Off bookings are non-refundable once the session has started.
  • Cancellations must be made in accordance with the Chipmunks Refund Policy, available on the website.
  • No refunds will be issued for change-of-mind or missed sessions.
  • Once booked its non refundable, but you can reschedule, 2 times then non-refundable.

Behaviour and Conduct

To maintain a safe environment:

  • Children must follow playground rules and staff instructions at all times.
  • Chipmunks reserves the right to contact parents for early collection if a child:
    • Displays unsafe, disruptive, or aggressive behaviour, or
    • Fails to follow staff direction repeatedly.
    • Fails to follow the Chipmunks Playground Rules
  • Parents will be responsible for any damage caused intentionally by their child.

Health and Safety

  • Children showing signs of illness (fever, vomiting, contagious symptoms) cannot participate.
  • Chipmunks follows strict hygiene and safety procedures across all venues.
  • Staff are trained in basic first aid and will administer assistance as required.
  • Any incidents or injuries will be documented, and the parent will be informed immediately.

Liability and Waiver

By signing the Drop-Off Form, the parent or caregiver:

  • Acknowledges that Chipmunks Playland & Café is not a childcare or educational service.
  • Accepts that children participate in play activities at their own risk.
  • Agrees that while all reasonable care will be taken, Chipmunks is not liable for accidental injury, loss, or damage arising during participation in the Drop-Off Service.
  • Provides consent for staff to act on their behalf in the event of an emergency, including contacting medical services if required.

Privacy and Data Collection

Chipmunks collects personal and emergency contact information solely for the purpose of operating the Drop-Off Service. This information is securely stored and may only be shared with emergency services if necessary and Chipmunks Head Office. Service Availability

  • The Drop-Off Service is available only during standard operating hours.
  • Availability may vary by location and cannot be guaranteed without pre-booking.
  • Chipmunks reserves the right to modify or suspend the service at any time for operational, safety, or staffing reasons.

Agreement

By booking or signing the Drop-Off Form in-store or online, you acknowledge that:

  1. You have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
  2. You are have read the Conditions of Entry and Chipmunks Playground Rules
  3. You authorise Chipmunks staff to supervise your child for the duration of the booked session.
  4. You accept responsibility for your child’s behaviour, health, and timely collection.
