"I really like this place. The staff are really good about keeping the big kids out of the little kids area which I really appreciate, the facilities are well cared for and clean. The food is surprisingly really good. They require socks, and they have really cool ones on sale for a reasonable price."

"5 stars - Fantastic indoor playground for kids of all ages!

We recently took our little ones (aged 3 and 6) to Chipmunks Playland & Café Hawke's Bay in Napier, and it was an absolute hit! The playground has so much variety with multi-level activities – gentle options for toddlers and more adventurous slides and climbing areas for older kids, but nothing too overwhelming or scary. It's perfect for burning off energy on a rainy day or any time.

The café has great food and drinks, with plenty of seating and tables for parents to relax while keeping an eye on the kids. Staff were super friendly, and we loved the welcoming vibe. One reviewer even mentioned how kind the owner was when they arrived early on a holiday – that kind of service really stands out!"

"Having recently moved from Australia (where my son was born), we've visited countless play cafés across Melbourne as well as many here in New Zealand…Auckland, Rotorua, Gisborne and I can confidently say that Chipmunks Napier is in a league of its own.
The cleanliness here is absolutely pristine. I genuinely couldn't believe how spotless and well-maintained everything was, it’s beyond anything I’ve experienced at any other playcentre. As a parent, that level of hygiene is incredibly reassuring.
The two lovely ladies working the day we visited were nothing short of superwomen. Customer service like that is rare, and they absolutely nailed it.
The environment is fun, safe, vibrant, and clearly run with pride. My son had the time of his life, and I felt so at ease knowing we were in such a well-looked-after space.
